Ranong is the first southern province on the western coast of Thailand. It located 568 Kilometres from Bangkok. Ranong occupies and area of 3,298 square kilometres, with the Kra Isthmus which is the narrowest part of the Malay Peninsula which lenght 47 kilometres. Within its compact area, Ranong contains various natural attractions and is blessed with hot springs and unspoilt mangrove forests. The narrowest part of Ranong is located in Amphoe Kra Buri which wide only 9 kilometres.

Car : Drive from Bangkok by taking 90 kilometres on Thonburi-Pak Thor route via Petchaburi, Prachuab Khiri Khan and Chumphon provincal and turn right to Ranong province. a total distance of 570 kilometres.

Route 1: Red Song Taew : Kao Prik Thai (Near Suwankiriwihan Temple) -Rattana Rangsan Thorn Hall - Thamuang Rd., - City Market Ruangrat Rd., - Thamuang Rd. to Ranong Thani Market - Sapanpla Rd.,- Pak Klong and turn back to City Market again.
Route 2: Blue Song Taew : City Market Ruangrat Rd., - Dragon Turtle the Fountain Circle - Stree Ranong School - Ranong Hospital - Hot Spring Raksawarin - Ranong Stadium - Bus Station - Rattanakosin Rd.,- Sapanpla Rd., - Koh Chang /Koh Phayam Pier/Sapanpla Pier- Pakklong and turn back at the same way.
